go to see your doctor.
My mother is a bipolar sufferer, so I understand the condition on a first hand basis, not just definitions.

if you are a sufferer, try to avoid taking any drugs. Unfortunatly doctors are way too willing to perscribe drugs now, and you being young I would avoid it. Dont self diagnose - do remember you are still a teenager, like me!
If you are diagnosed, a good book I can reccomend to ghelp you understand the condition is "Take charge of Bipolar disorder" by Julie a. fast and John preston. It helps your friends and family as well.

You really should get proffesional advice - dont take any diagnosise from anybody else, it could be dangerous.

Just remember to think positively - there is always something positive!

I think you are just trying so hard to find your "special niche" in life---it takes time for most of us and a real need to s-l-o-w down so we can smell the roses and you can't do that whizzing from one mind set to another, first---find a place you can be tranquil, alone and enjoying something that absorbs your interest by just watching it's ebb and flow, weather it's a fountain a stream a pool with fish and turtles or wind chimes and decorative grass blowing while you feel the breeze on your skin, even an aquarium! Watch puppies or kittens birds, children--don't be involved just watch and breath deep. Take the beauty of those peaceful moments and think of ways you can enter in and be part of something! A drama class, painting, literary discussions like a book club! Find your center, what you enjoy and build on that. Stop whirling about thinking everyone Else's "nirvana" is "it". Eat well and exercise to relieve stress and then meditate as described. Peace!

It could be many things, what is important is that you recognize and express a need for help. You should definitely talk to someone about your concerns, a counselor at school and/or your parents and a professional therapist. Intervention now can make the difference between a happy life and escalating problems in the future.

From high to low. From euphoria to depression. From recklessness to listlessness. These are the extremes associated with bipolar disorder, which can be a serious and disabling mental illness. Bipolar disorder is also known as manic-depression or manic-depressive illness — manic behavior is one extreme of this disorder and depression is the other.

Bipolar disorder often begins in adolescence or early adulthood and may persist throughout life. The causes of bipolar disorder are elusive, and there's no cure.

The flares of bipolar disorder may last for weeks or months, causing great disturbances in the lives of those affected, their friends and their families. Left untreated, the condition usually worsens. But bipolar disorder can be managed with medications and other therapies.

Signs and symptoms:

Bipolar disorder is characterized by an alternating pattern of emotional highs (mania) and lows (depression). The intensity of the associated signs and symptoms varies. Bipolar disorder can range from a mild condition to a severe condition, and there may be periods of normal behavior.

For many people, signs and symptoms in the manic phase may include:

Feelings of euphoria, extreme optimism and inflated self-esteem
Rapid speech, racing thoughts, agitation and increased physical activity
Poor judgment
Recklessness or taking chances not normally taken
Difficulty sleeping
Tendency to be easily distracted
Inability to concentrate
Aggressive behavior
Depressive phase

In the depressive phase, signs and symptoms include:

Persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt or hopelessness
Disturbances in sleep and appetite
Fatigue and loss of interest in daily activities
Problems concentrating
Irritability
Chronic pain without a known cause
Recurring thoughts of suicide

Take Care & Good Luck....Definetely see a doctor!

I would suggest you make an appointment to speak to your school counselor. Be very honest with him/her about your feelings and symptoms. The counselor can refer you to someone who can evaluate you further and provide a diagnosis. There are very effective treatments if you have bipolar disorder.

HI, I AM A MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL. MY ANSWER TO YOU IS TO SEEK HELP. BUT DON'T GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. ANYONE WHO THINKS OF COMMITTING SUICIDE SHOULD SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP IMMEDIATELY. FOR THE MOST PART EMOTIONS TEND TO WANE UP AND DOWN IN OUR YOUTH. BUT CUTTING, EATING DISORDERS AND SUICIDAL THOUGTHS ARE VERY SERIOUS. MAY I SUGGEST YOU SEEK OUT HELP. GO TO YOU SCHOOL COUSELOR, OR YOUR MOTHER. I DON'T KNOW THE REASON YOU HATE YOUR DAD, BUT HARMING YOURSELF IS NOT THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEMS. NO ONE CAN TELL YOU IF YOU ARE BIPOLAR UNLESS THEY CAN TALK WITH YOU. PLEASE SEEK THE HELP YOU NEED. GOOD LUCK.

That sounds like bipolar. My mom is bipolar so I've been around it. I also have friends that are bipolar. I think you should talk to your doctor about it.
