How can I make myself look more approachable?

Im really shy and I can tell guys are interested because they stare a lot, but i never get approached! please help me out!

1. Smile
2. Laugh with your friends.
3. Be outgoing with your friends (If you are only hanging with one friend, this does not work. Just you and a friend make them want to back off.... a bigger group is easier to approach.)
4. Dress casually/not overdone. (I mean, come on, would you want to approach a girl who's completely goth looking? How inviting does THAT look to someone? Or someone with a ton of makeup and her hair and nails done? That's screaming HIGH MAINTENENCE!)
5. Try to BE YOURSELF. Guys will notice if they see you acting differently to people around school. Don't be two-faced, it isn't cool.
6. IF you get the nerve, smile and wave at them. Eventually talk to them once in awhile.

You're in school, right? Then you have two kinds of approaches:

1. Change how you dress most days.
2. On a FEW days dress differently from the others. That could get some heads turned and some conversations started.

Beyond that, don't look obviously "conservative" and do perhaps look "soft" or "feminine". Any further detail would depend on your age, part of the country/world, and so on.

What's more, you're probably asking the wrong question anyway. ;) How you behave is more important than how you dress.

That said, I'd like to compliment you on understanding there's a difference between "approachable" and "attractive". Many girls don't.

Omg same here. I'm so shy and guys look all the time. haha.

U need to get the guts to approach them.
Start saying hey and hi how are you. Then you'll eventually become friends.

don't worry about being approachable cuz ur sending out that nervous unsure of urself energy. just relax, dont think twice about it n be urself! good things will come that r right for u. trust me, its better that the guys look n go on their way, than u having to deal with the *** holes that look and start bothering u, u kno. so jus enjoy the attention n hopefully one u like will approach u. :)
