On Vancouver Island, in Victoria, there is a minatures museum depicting all of the major battles fought over the course of several centuries. The attention paid to detail is extraordinary and the place is huge.
I don't know anywhere in the world that does it better.
Also, no one mentioned Mt. Robeson. I believe it's the highest peak in Canada? And there's a nice campgrounds at the base. Great place to be July 1st!

Banff, Kananaskis, Jasper, Yoho - The Rocky Mountains in Alberta. There is enough there to keep anyone busy for a long time!

Canada's Paramount Wonderland. Open during the summer months and during Halloween, when Fearfest takes place. And there is also Ontario Place and of course, the Ex.

Niagara falls!
It's the best but be aware that they charge for EVERYTHING there but it's well worth the price. If you go there you have to go to Niagara on the lake and go shopping and get some Ice Wine! They also have a butterfly conservatory and a bird sanctuary and obviously you can't go there and not go behind the falls! There's so much stuff to do!

As long as you realize that all these suggestions are 4-6 hour flights away from each other. It's a big place.

Anything on the west coast...the moutains are beautiful, ice fields, Banff, Lake Louise...wonderful places to explore and be blown away by the beauty of it all.
