My dad said that his tooth has been in pain for the last 2 days but it is getting unbearable. There is black on his gums around the tooth. He keeps calling emergancy dentists, but ironically non of them are picking up. What could it be?

hmm, sounds like it could be necrosis of the gum..or if it's like a blood blister then it could be some trauma or gingival hyperplasia.. He will need to get to a surgery asap to have some x-rays taken to see the state of the centre of the tooth and around the root of it. He may have an abcess, which would be causing the pain...but you can't really tell anything until seeing an xray.
