I do not hate it, but it is sad for me. I am alone....no family other than one elderly aunt who is developing dementia.
I miss my twin sister.
It is what it is, though, and I have assurance that I will be with them all in Heaven.
It is hard for me to see all of the happy families.
I am glad when it is over.
Still, I rather like it. It is fun seeing the happy faces on all the little children.

I hate the commercialism and the fake "niceness" of people at this time of year. If you have goodwill toward men only at Christmas, you're a hypocrite. It's all about spending money, wretched excess, and buying into the corporate propaganda. One of the happiest days of my year is the day after all this phoniness is over.
We're going to Nevada for Christmas. What better way to honor the crassness, the bright lights and the obsession with spending?

Christmas like life is what you make it; if you hate it , it is b/c you have that within you , the wrong message; I find it such a spiritual time, coming together of people, family and friends, people showing up to do more for people that they don't know; if you hate it, it is b/c you are not giving of your heart, talents and efforts for others , if you did, you would find like the Grinch that you would grow as a person and find to keep Christ in Christmas; the other night , I walked outside , the snow falling, perfect snowflakes, the Christmas lights glistening on the snow , a calm, tranquility of life on Earth, how it was meant to be; sometimes you have to have a calmness in your being and get in touch with what is important, I felt sorry for myself for not having shoes until I saw a man with no feet. Merry Merry Christmas

I think no matter where the tradition came from and what the symbols are, that this is a season for giving and trying to get along with people at least for a short time.
Feeding the hungry and clothing the naked.
Just being loving and compassionate if only for a short time. It does not matter what you beleive to be able to give.

I don't hate Christmas itself but I do hate the commertialization of the holiday. Like every other holiday the corporate big businesses go overboard.

its not that i hate it , but people have made something so wonderful as this holiday a materialistic one!
just look around people are not satisfied until they get the perfect gift , when in reality , being happy with yourself, family , and life in general is what really matters , all else can come after that, and if i really cant buy gifts for everyone becuase i cant afford it , the only thing i would be sad about is that they are not with me this year to celebrate:)

In the US its a little drawn out. As someone who isn't Christian, by the middle of December I'm a bit tired of seeing Christmas everywhere I look.

I dislike it not hate it. I see to much pain and suffering in my job because of it. I don't understand why if everyone likes it so much they don't act this way at other times of the year.
