A family gift is fine here. You aren't married so you aren't a family member and not required by etiquette to pass out presents to each and every family member.
Something unusual and not often given at Christmas is a table floral arrangement for the Christmas buffet/supper table.

I bought a gift for my last boyfriends' mom only. Little did I know his sister had bought me a gift. I felt bad but my boyfriend didn't tell me she was getting me something and I had never met his family.
I didn't feel so bad when his mom gave me a cheap christmas ornament and memo pad. Something you would give to a 10 year old. I had bought her a large scented candle with stand which cost me nearly $30.
If you never met them I would't get them a gift.

For his parents, you could get them something christmassy like a log cake or fruit cake. As for his brothers and gfs, always think of you and your boyfriend as a couple, so get your boyfriend to include your name in his gifts to them if he does give them any. That should do it. If and when you are married, that is the way to go anyways.

No, you don't have to get his brother's a gift. If you want to, though, get them a board game, or something they can share. You could get his parents a movie or something. At Wal-Mart, they have racks of $5 movies that are really good. Ask your b/f what they like. And then make them some Christmas cookies to eat while they watch their movie.

Get a basket, fill it with cool stuff like cheeses, a variety of crackers, dips, miniature jellies, etc. etc. and put the family's name on it, like:
To: The Smith Family
From: Yourself
Tie a Christmas bow on the handle.

I am a little uncomfortable about it. It is up to you , but mind your budget. That is at least 4 presents to budget for. If you were prepared , then by all means go for it, but if not, just buy food presents.

It is customary, in this instance, to provide a small bullock for slaughter. This way, everyone can have a piece. But make sure that his father gets the head. Again, it's customary. ;-)
