We have a roasted duck, yeast dumplings, stuffing, red cabbage, cucumber salad and diakon salad, after that assorted pies. Its the best of German and American traditions combined.

Well this is the first time I am cooking Christmas dinner due to my mother in laws death this year so I need it to be special. My husband is wanting me to cook a leg of lamb (never done so before). Perhaps you can help me if you know anything about cooking - if not I guess I can always post a question! What are you cooking?

Not quite sure yet. Probably the usual...

1. Ham and turkey
2. Cabbage
3. Vegetables
4. Corn chowder
5. Rolls
6. Casseroles
7. Stuffing

I think that is it, plus dessert of course. But that changes!
