Present to myself. It needs a little work, but I love it. I think I want to paint it "mustang yellow" with gray interior. What do you suggest and does anyone know where I should start first on fixing this thing up?

It's in great shape, interior is a little wore out. My dad is rebuilding the transmission.

ok dont pay attention to those people... 98000 miles is low miles for a ninety one.. very low.... I even have a ninety two hatchback mustang with 146000 miles on it and it extremely is doing in simple terms nice motor smart... although ford in no way made a first rate tranny so I even have had to rebuild that. extra moderen autos are actually not continuously extra effective. extra computers ... extra issues... i understand the ninety one has a working laptop or pc yet not purely like the extra moderen autos do. I say choose for the mustang... by using the way i'm telling you to purchase a ford while i'm certainly a die not hassle-free chevy fan.. and the mustang I very own is by using the fact my better half needed it.. so think of of it that way.

Awesome. I love Mustangs. I think yellow is great, but candy apple red with white interior is good too. I'd get the inside done first, then the outside. Good luck to you!

Man a color like tht will attract so much heat lol (cops) how bad is the paint tht is already on it? If it is niceish I'd keep it like tht and put money into the motor and stuff or get it painted black. Can't go wrong with black if u keep it clean.

Do any of the internal engine work first before painting it. Do your paint job last, especially after winter is over. Paint yellow like you said with black stripes.

sounds like a good car to me. i would work from the inside out b/c who knows, maybe you wont like how the inside matches the outside. or just give urself more time to think about the outside color, b/c u might change ur mind

I would go with making it as mechanically sound as possible, sounds like your Dad is on the way... Brakes,Engine oil leaks, heat and a/c funtion, lights, wipers,TIRES,front suspension, filters,electrical,.. Make it totally mechanically sound then check budget and go from there... I would go with making it as original as possible..
