My mom and I were best friends up until Thursday. She showed up to my sports practice with my aunt and my grandma to watch and take pictures. I asked them to leave because I had told my mom before that I would rather she not come to my practices, but only come on the days that I compete. So I asked them to leave, but they stayed to watch. I put up my hood because they were trying to take pictures of me. Whenever I looked over to where they were, they all just turned away laughing, like I didn't see them looking at me. Then, when I got home, my mother did not say anything to me at all. She told me to get out of bed the day after and then a sentence after that. She didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. When I tried to call her on the phone, my dad picked up. I know she just told him to because she didn't want to talk to me. Today, she hasn't talked to me at all. I have no idea why she is so upset. My brother doesn't think anything is wrong. What's the matter with her?

But if she was laughing about it the whole time, why is she acting like this? I have talked to her about similar situations but about tother people, and she has said that she would never just "pop in" to see me when I'm around my friends.

The matter is you were behaving like a spoiled brat. They came to see you cause they love you and you told them to beat it. How rude. Apologize to them for being so unappreciative.

Wha't wrong with your mom is that her feelings were hurt. She was probably embarrassed in front of her sister and mother that you didn't want to be associated with her. Your feelings are normal for a teenager, and her feelings are normal for a parent. This will pass. Say you are sorry, and at the same time tell her it is embarrasing to be made a fuss over when you want to be one of the guys.

I think you both are acting childish. She came to your practice because she is proud of you. Was it really a big deal that she was their? But your mother has really got to get over this. She is acting very childish not speaking to you because of this (unless you are not disclosing something). You should apolagize though, it sounds like you hurt her feelings.

U were disrespectful. I know u were embarassed, but most other people will understand. They have goofy parents too. U should not have told them to leave. It probably hurt her to see her kid act up in front of her sis and mom.

If it was embarrassing you, you should have told her you wouldn't mind a simple pic of him with his friend or something..Go apologize to her
