My tv is broken downstairs so Im gonna use my laptop to put high school musical 2 on for my niece. I had already put a dvd on before this one and it worked fine. I put the hsm2 dvd in and instead of coming up with what I can play it with (i.e media player, real player, win dvd ect) a file opened with 2 folders in, one named audio and the other named video. I went in the folders and nothing was in both of them. Why doesnt this dvd work on my laptop? Its not a copied dvd its a real one I bought. Anyone know how to get it to play?

Yeah I did ask this in another category, but it wasnt any help.

Alright, this is kinda weird. It happens with some DVD movies, I assume it's some kind of copy protection or something. There are files in there, but they're hidden and you won't be able to open them anyway. Anyway, all you have to do is launch the DVD from your media player. Open your media player and choose the Play From DVD option. It's usually a subset of the Play menu, near File. If you can't find it, email or IM me or something and I'll walk you through it. Hope that helps.

If you can see the two folders then your DVD player is reading O.K. There is never anything in the audio folder, however the video folder contains the movie. If the video folder is really empty then it's a bad disk.
