Nope, in this day and age it is NOT ok. Just because you think the kids are really cute, does not give you the freedom to pinch their cheeks or rub their chins. They are not puppies.
From my understanding, teachers aren't even supposed to pat a student on the back or put their hand on a shoulder.

that would depend. Seeing how their in 5th grade i dont think the kids would want u to pinch there cheeks so i would have to say no. if they were like 1st graders maybe but u never know with parents now a days. they could end up suing u and u could lose ur job. Especially all the teacher/child relationships that are going on. i'd say even as innocent as it is i'd say play it safe and dont touch the kids

"Back in the day..." teachers did that in 5th grade. It was just a sweet thing to do! Sure all the girls had crushes on the male teachers at that age, but all the boys had crushes on the FEMALE teachers. These days I'd be carefull looking at them too long. The "sooooo cute" is a little over the top, don't you think? It's a different world; not better, but different. Happy Holidays

I personally don't think that a male teacher should pinch or rub fifth graders cheeks and chins. It is a little creepy. I understand that the little grade school kids are adorable to you and all.I myself am going to college to become a teacher and I think that the kids are so cute. But I am not going to pich their cheeks or anything like that. When I was a kid I hated people who piched my cheeks and told me that I was the most adorable thing. I really think that kids hate it when adults do that. Is your name Lauren. My name is Lauren! small world!

If you were a real teacher, I think you would've been fired long before reaching out and touching those cute little adorable cheeks, because it's more upsetting that you'd be in a classroom without knowing how to spell.

I agree with answerer 1... here are my objections.
1. You're not a guy, "Lauren."
2. A teacher wouldn't talk like "omg theyr so cute!!!!!!"
3. These are fifth graders you're talking about. If you wanted cute you'd be a kindergarten teacher.

The only way I can even fathom one of your questions being legitimate is if you are a 10-yr-old twin whose male teacher pinches her, and has decided to ask questions from your own standpoint ("my teacher does this"), your parents's standpoint on another matter ("is it okay to tell my 10-yr-old twins about sex?") and as the teacher who piinches you (this moronic question).
So to answer all three:
1. No
2. No
3. No

You need to make up your mind whether you are a 5th grader or a 5th grade teacher. Your first question states that you are a 5th grader... which would mean you aren't even old enough to be on Yahoo Answers.
