Only a faithless and/or superstitious religion would teach that God's children cannot question God. If you spent your time searching for a religion that taught you that it is your right to question God, then you wouldn't be asking this silly question.
The Lord, himself, commands men to "prove me now herewith" in his principles and commandments. Isn't this telling you that the Lord desires that you question him? But, the point is that you cannot approach God by incorrect principles. And it is your responsibility to accept correct principles. Until you do, no amount of questioning God is going to matter.
Once you are obedient to correct principles, you can question God about anything, and through the Holy Ghost, the truth of it will be testified to you. There are people in the scriptures that were so righteous, that the Lord could not help but reveal himself to them in person. So it is entirely possible for the mysteries of God to be unfolded upon a man, if he will learn, exercise, and fulfill the things that God requires of him.

It is like insulting a loved one. People are taught to love God with all their heart, so when a person says something like "God is a murderer." It's almost like you said it about their mother.

I was born as a human to question life.
Even as a person of faith. I am still curious about why things happen the way that they do.
Or why God would punish and kill. I don't have those answers.
Perhaps there is no answer.
But I always search for the truth as I see it.

There's no need for God to answer any question, anything you wish to ask Him it's already written in the Holy Book (Koran ). Get the English translation for your easy reference.

If I were making up rules for people to follow, rule number one would be "Don't question, just blindly obey" under penalty of death. Sound familiar? Just saying...

You have to rephrase it. Questioning God is more like sayin you dont believe him. we should just ask for understandin and knowledge aswell as wisdom.

The most reasonable answer is that we cannot question "God" because it does not exist.

Because God doesn't exist. All we can do is question those who believe that he does in an effort to figure out what, exactly, their major malfunction is.

Because God doesn't have to answer to anyone. He is His own.

You can - you can ask God anything you like. Whether he chooses to answer you is another matter.
