Iam going out to dinner with a female friend for dinner tonight. We have known each other for a year and are pretty comfortable with each other. We have never hooked up or anything.. just friends (for now) Should i pay for her dinner tonight.. would it be weird if I let her pay? Iam going to offer to pay at first and I know she will try and pay too so should i let her? Thanks for the help.

Asking her to pay would make you sound like a cheapie.
It is considered rude to take a woman on a date and make her pay for herself..
Although, If she insists on paying for herself.. ask her if she would let you pay for at least half of her meal.
Make her feel special.

Depends on who asked who to have dinner. But there is nothing wrong with offering to pick up the check anyway.

I'd go with your suggestion. Offer to pay, then if she wants to go halfies, then play it by ear. Some women don't like it when the bloke pays because it makes them feel like they owe you something, so I'd keep it friendly.

Go for the check to pay it, if she acts weird, cover yourself by saying "Oh you can pay next time." Solved.

IF you do want something with her later, then YES, you should pay. If she really insists, then let her pay for her own, but if she lets you, then pay.

it sounds like u should pay in this situation..
its polite,, say thank u but dont accpt her offer...
especially if its a formal resorant..but even if not..pay
