well my friend likes this guy and the guy is my friend too.
he wants a sweet way to ask her out and he is asking me.
at our local zoo they set up lights in the holiday season. he knows he is gonna do it there cause it is pretty romantic. he just wants more than a simple "will you go out with me?"
any ideas

Well when you say "want to go out with me" people think like out to a movie or dinner.....The best way is to take her hand and say her name and tell her how he feels about her then say I want to be happy but I will only be more happier being with you.....So what do you say...Then he waits for her answer.

I wouldn't advise the guy to do anything that "isn't him" what I mean by this is , it's important to be original and contrived but if he does something that isn't in his personality the girl is gonna know. Women are really good at picking out the fakes from the genuine.
I advise the guy to just keep his cool, and be flirty with her. Basically treat her like a girlfriend without having to say you're my girlfriend. Me personally I'd rather ask a girl out with my "actions" rather than my "words"

there is no right way to ask a girl out..but when asking her just tell her wot u feel but try not to sound like a geek cuz tht puts girls off straight away!
