I'm a Mexican citizen and was recently in the USA, and I couln't believe what I read on the papers or listened to in the media. It seemed to me that the US government and the US media are creating the image that all mexicans are trying to go to the US as if we were some sort of blood-sucking parasite.
I agree that a lot of mexican scum and cockroach-people from mexico (and other countries, throught Mexico) go to the US. But there are a lot of Mexican citizens that are not familiar with the immigration problem in the US.
What is your opinion?

First... I am a Mexican citizen, and I do have a life, thank you. If I dare to call "mexican scum" to other mexicans is because I am well aware of what kind of people from mexico go illegaly to the USA. I understand the problem. But there are about 110 million mexicans who are not living illegaly in the USA. I don't understand what you mean by "not buying our patriotism" please explain. Of the 50-60 people crossing the border daily not all of them are mexicans, I agree that entering a country illegaly is a crime. And I even agree on builing a wall, if you want, it's your country and your money, you can do whatever you want. There is also the thing about americans calling everyone and everything south of your border: "mexican" My american frieds the world is bigger than just north america.

I agree with David T. That is the way it is supposed to be. However I disagree on the part that illegal immigrants drain the work market. Let me explain, mexicans wouldn't be going to the US for work if people in the US didn't hire illegal immigrants. That is a very simple thing to do too! Not to take away responsibility from Mexican authorities. Illegal immigration is a problem for both sides and as O'reilly said to Fox, I now say it to you guys, "If you keep blaming us only, you're never going to solve it" ;)

do you know anything about the mexican government? why do you say it encourages citizens to go illegaly to the US, that is a lie. I agree illegal immigrants have created a bad immage for themselves, that's why I called many of them scum. but my question was about your perception of Mexicans in Mexico.
You complain a lot about us, but keep comming to Mexico for vacations and spend retirement here too. As I said, I understand the problem with the illegal scum, I'm more worried about what you think of mexicans and how will a mexican tourist will be treated in the near future.

People from Mexico go to the US because companies in mexico (the ones that are being moved from the US and other parts of the world) come here to establish and help create more poverty by paying people US$18 per DAY ON SOME OF THE BEST CASES!!!
Of course that is not the US fault. I'm just explaining why a Mexican, guatemalan, or any other latin american would go to the USA and not to Europe or Asia...Common sense, anyone? Margret?

My opinion is simple. Come to this country legally and I have no issues with you. Come here ILLEGALLY, DON"T PAY TAXES, DRAIN the job market, our economy, our welfare system and THEN have the nerve to scream about your rights, and we have a problem. Come here legally or go back to your country. End of story.****NOTE: As to your response about American companies outsourcing for their business, I don't agree with that policy. But the reason they can do it for such a cheap rate in Mexico is because the Mexican Government chooses not to pay their own Mexican citizens a decent wage. Nobody to blame there but the Mexican Government. It's because the Mexican Government is so cheap that causes the influx of illegals into our country. If they would treat their own people with a little respect and common courtesy and allow them to make a livable wage, they wouldn't be sneaking over here. And once our Government stops employers from hiring illegals (part of the Save Act), then they will be forced to hire true Americans at a legal wage, hence our unemployment rate will hopefully go down. Oh, and for the idiot who gave EVERYONE a "thumbs down", we know who you are, an ILLEGAL!****

I hope not! I know and have family by marriage that are Mexican in origin. I have a very high opinion of them. They are legally here and are first generation American but also call themselves American. As far as Mexicans in Mexico, I'm sure there are many good and bad just as everywhere else on this planet. I believe that as a tourist you'd be treated with the respect that you give. I say that your government has published pamphlets giving directions and suggestions for the best way to illegally invade our nation. I'm also sure that not all Mexicans are the same as their government as are we in America. I do however think that illegals of all countries are parasites. We don't owe them a darn thing now or ever. Come legally or not at all.

I wouldn't consider he/she a racist. People must understand that this is not a race war! All Americans (White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc...) must all stand up and fight for the right to be taken care of "1st" and foremost by the leaders of our country. They seem to help every country before they take a look @ what is going on in their own back yard. Mexicans are targeted because they have abused the American system more than any other race around. No... I would not consider you a racist nor a sellout!!! You are an American citizen, because someone in your family did things the right way. The race card is used as a cop-out!!!

50-60 illegals get across the border in Arizona per day;
former Vicente Fox on O'Reilly talked about Mexicans 'just wanting a better life', the U.S. doesn't enforce the border so it doesn't really exist;
recent marches in L.A. & San Francisco by Hispanics talking about 'this is really OUR land';
Boatloads of Mexican nationals that came to the U.S. legally and work hard like anyone else.
It's not being Hispanic, Latino or Mexican that gripes Americans, it is:
1) the # of illegals that come across the border to begin with
2) the Fed won't enforce a simple, Constitutional guarantee
3) tunnels under the border with drugs in a trailer on the Mexican side
How..... honorable, trustworthy.

Most do not think that all Mexicans want to come illegally to the USA, but being 65% of all illgals are from Mexico, some of us question the role of those in Mexico that want to export their poverty to the USA. I doubt this is first new account or will it be your last.

You may also thank the Mexican govt. for encouraging their people to come here illegally and scrounge off the US and US taxpayers. Illegals have created that image all by themselves. BTW, the overwhelming majority of illegal aliens in the US are Mexican, so there you have the focus.
* I wish the Mexicans crossing the border knew the world was bigger than N. America. Please let them know and direct them to go somewhere else.

What a crying shame that some Americans base their concepts of lack of jobs, and bad economy on other nationalities. And because Hispanics are a prevalent race in some States, so now it's their fault. It is apparent that all humans strive for the basic needs. A job brings security . And it is but natural that impoverish Mexicans will opt to try to cross the border to better their lives. If the table was turned around, you see will Americans trying to do the same. Yet it happens all the time in many parts of the world, people move to other countries, taking a chance in hopes to better their lives. Even now as we speak, many people of many nationalities want more than anything else to be in the US because of the many blessings our country provides.
The Unites States has always been a beacon of hope and kindness and will continue to be so for the whole world. But we as a people are in danger of losing that identity and should guard ourselves against ignorance, racism, and contempt to rule our hearts.
