try typing C: windows ... that will tell it to look for windows on the c drive ... moral is ... read the screens after updates ... says DON'T TURN OFF Windows will sut down when it's done!

You have defaulted to your A drive (probably a floppy drive). See if there is a disk in that drive, and, if there is, remove it. Otherwise, you need to enter the BIOS and change the order that your computer looks at drives on boot-up. It should look at the hard drive first, unless you want to boot from a floppy.

go to the Microsoft website and click on the update from their website.maybe your computer needs to finish being updated.
