See if you can get her to read: My Kingdom Come: The Mormon Quest for Godhood by Ed Decker.

You can be assured that she did know what she was doing. She had receive 4 to 6 discussions about the Gospel. She had to know about the Restoration, the Prophet, Jesus Christ and the ordinances of the Gospel. She was interviewed to determine that she has a testimony of this things. When she attends church during the first year, she will have weekly lessons designed to further inform new members. You can view manual for this class on line at www.lds.org/library/display/0,4945,11-1-13-1,00.html

I understand completely. LDS will claim they are Christians, but while they will use much of the same terminology Christians do, when you talk to them about what they actually believe, their beliefs are MUCH different from Christianity.

I would recommend the following:

1) Make sure you understand what you believe (Secret Service agents are responsible for stopping the counterfeiting of money. They start this process not by learning about what counterfeit bills look like, but by learning what the real things looks like. That makes it easier to spot counterfeits). Make sure you have a good grasp on what the Bible says.

2) Educate yourself on Mormonism. You should do this by a) talking with Mormons (like your sister) and b) reading books. One good one is "Reasoning from the Scriptures with the Mormons" by Ron Rhodes & Marian Bodine. It has a companion book called, "The 10 Most Important Things You Can Say To A Mormon". You might start with the 2nd book as it's much smaller - gives you the basics with some detail. Then move on to the larger book.

And now that I've re-read that, probably the most important thing to do is, combined with the above, Pray.

Uhm... she still is a Christian. LDS/Mormons are Christians-- they believe in Christ.
I'm sorry your upset about it, but she is a big girl and you can't control her. Let her make her own decisions.
I'm also guessing that you don't know a whole lot about Mormons, though I could be wrong... so I suggest you maybe educate yourself bit about them and what they really believe and then you probably won't be as opposed to your sister converting.

Why don't you talk and communicate this with your sister. I think she would be a great source information concerning her own decisions, don't you?

If I was you I would be happy for her, and guess what: ...she is still a Christian because Mormons are christians, duuh!

She had a testimony, that is why she baptized and believe me, she knows what she is doing

Congratulate her on her baptism, and attend some meetings with her. Maybe you'll see why she converted to the Church, and join her!

LDS are christians.

you do nothing. It's her choice and she has free will. Now be loving and accepting of her. Do not condemn her actions or you might risk losing her forever...

Your sister is an adult. Why not accept her adult decision?

You can talk to her but I doubt it will make any difference to her.

The Mormons hide what they believe. They talk in circles. They are afraid of the truth being shined on their faith.

Study the Bible and you will never be sucked into their untruth.
