To all the guys out there: Just in general... why is it that when a girl you approach/call/text/contact first starts reciprocating & suggests you casually "hang out" you back down? I've experienced this with numerous guys & I just wanna know what the deal is, from your POV.

Dunno, as I'm in a different age range from you. That said:
I suspect you are making them feel pressured into some sort of a commitment.
Also, you can learn some basic sales techniques to make it easier for them to say "Yes" than "No". E.g., pick two or three things you're pretty sure they'd like to do with you, and ask WHICH of them they'd like to do. That way it's hard for them to wimp out totally, except with the old "I gotta check my schedule; I'm soooo busy" excuse.
