Have you lost your objectivity? did you sense the fear of the battle? did you turn to religion?
Everything in nature has a place and purpose, but christianity made itself loud and obtrusive... have you lost sight of objectivity through fear of them? They were insidious...

Well for many, they realize that morality and religion are separate. One can lead a moral life without religion. I always say that I believe the Bible, for example, though a bad book on religion, it is a good book on morals. If there were a god, and he were to punish those who led a moral life (regardless of their religious views), what would that say of him?
Religion still exists at all because it is easier to live believing one has second chances, or endless chances, as opposed to the harsh reality that we only have one chance in life, for good or ill.
There are still many religious people. Many people as well that sin during the week & repent on Sunday. Be careful to separate 'religious' from 'spiritual'. They can be very different.
If you haven't, I suggest reading Einstein's views on religion. He was not religious, but he was spiritual. Here is just a starting point-

What I've noticed about many Agnostics is that they are becoming more modest in their ways. Some of the ones I know wont tell you they're Agnostic until you ask, unlike many believers and non believers who want shut up how they love/hate God.

Just laugh at the hypocrisy. Fundamentalism soon will not have a home in the Western world. Although the Fundamentalists grab the headlines, they are trivializing themselves. As is, Fundamentalists are not spiritual since their worldview is so concrete.

Mankind never accepted the merit of some great spiritual soul while he was in flesh and blood.
You and I will accept someone of today as a great being - AFTER he is no longer with us.
What has agnsticism got to do with all this. Today, you have a tendency to praise what your pastors praise.

I have no fear of spirituality or even the ignorant Christian fundies, themselves.
I do fear idiotic religious nonsense in our government.

they got taken in by crooked tv evangelists and crooked politicians mouthing empty words of holiness and christian mercy and they got to start a war nobody needed or wanted plus they got robbed. separation of church and state was a WONDERFUL idea.
