The television commercial makes it seem easier than it is in real life to locate and receive government grants for individuals. Government grants are given typically to governmental agencies, recognized tribes, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, many government agencies have an income limit to provide help. There is housing help to refinance in some cases some mortgages, but in most areas of the country, most housing authorities have a closed waiting list to new applicants. The utility companies can help you if your income qualifies for it on reduced utility bills. I will include some resources below to locate help. Good luck!
