why the why power supply for most electronic components must be DC.

because all electronics devices work on dc, cuz they consist of transistors n diodes and all of theses are uni directional devices. only one direction of current flow.

the dc supply will initiate bias in the circuit enabling the active components to work but this doesn't mean the whole system is in dc alone. an ac signal is generated when these active components work due to the bias currents from dc sources.

with the exception of AC motors and heating elements, most parts require dc power supplies.

Get a 220/13.2 Volt transformer with a center tap.Assemble a push pull rectifier using silicon diode rectifier using a center tapped transformer.

Because most electronic components don't
digest AC very well.
