Every action has a reaction. E.g. if you spend a fortune on your credit card then you can be pretty certain that you will have to make repayments.
If you look hard enough you will notice patterns, even in chaos. Therefore, it's not always good enough to say 'It was meant to be', sometimes you have to take responsibility for your attitude and actions that contribute to a situation.

Except for the human beings, all the rest in the Universe is ‘meant to be.’

Man is answerable to whatever that is in his power where he is having choice 'TO DO' or 'NOT TO DO,' that is, all the actions, things or activities.
If done good or well, most of the times... he will be rewarded by 'good' multiplies a many times & if done wrong, he will be chastised 'equally.'

God All-mighty loves the Just & upholds justice.

In a way yes, we certainly don't have free will in a religious/philosophical sense. Albert Einstein put it best when he wrote, "No, I don't believe in free will in a philosophical realm, humans act from external pressures and internal need, a man can very well do what he wants, but can not will what he wants."

The illusion of free will comes form the ability to see other possible decisions that could be made, but the brain, as has been shown by direct studies, makes decisions on a subconsciouses level, it will always act on it's strongest compulsion.

Our decisions might as well be a computer code. We can influence each other, but how we do so comes directly from our own genetics and how they have been externally developed through our own experiences, both interally and externally.

Who knows.

Philip Pullman said on Sky teachers channel - that scientist have discovered we move our hand before we think of moving it. It is the brain that imagines free will.

Life is just a cruel trick where some get a good run of luck and others cannot do anything about it.

In the beginning God said; "Kun" - "Arise, Be"
The rest lies within your own hands!
You are the decision maker as what is meant to be for you!
Free will is often so misunderstood.

"Faith" is the essential tool required by man.

"Peace be always with you."

Despite our thinking that "things" ought to be other than they are.... everything that happens has a cause, purpose, and resolution, and everything and everyone is subject to the Law of Karma.

Ones primary focus ought to be on how well one is doing in achieving a clue as to how one goes "WITHIN" oneself, and finds the path leading back to God.

Peace

Not all things, especially abuse. But God's love can heal all and that is meant to be.
