We might as well let Christians in on this string! Would you go out and kill everyone? Would you cheat on your wife? Would you drink a lot and smoke a lot? By the way, my tongue is completely in my cheek. Feel free to answer anyway!

Rick's girl, ask anyone here. I am as atheistic as they come. I posted this as a joke. I have very strong morals. By the way, let me give you some hard earned advice. Don't ever define yourself by your man.

I do not do any of these things but drink very occasionally. As I said, my tongue was planted in my cheek. People ask on a daily basis about atheists and their morals, or lack thereof.

Being an Atheist would not change the way I live my life day to day. And in a way, your question makes no sense. As a Christian, I already have Grace. I am already forgiven for my transgressions. And as a Christian, I am a person who has repented of those things. So, being an Atheist for a day would not change my behavior, as it should not.

By the way, I drink whiskey (although not a lot, and not nearly as often as I used to before) and I smoke cigars. I'm not married (yet). And I've never been a violent person.

By the way, I have to ask (based on your question) whether you, as an Atheist do all of those things? Do you murder? Do you commit adultery? It seems that by your question, Atheists have the RIGHT to do those things.

You do not have the right to.

would Day is complicated. Christians at the instant are not in basic terms Christians yet additionally electorate of a mundane society. different than JWs, Christians do frequently rejoice their birthdays, which has little to do with their faith. in case you spot would Day as Labour Day, it makes particularly some sense to rejoice it as a Christian, because of the fact that Christianity is approximately justice for the undesirable etc. on the different hand, in case you spot it as 1 / 4 day between the vernal equinox and the summer season solstice, some Christians would be much less satisfied with that. i'd, whether, advise that such Christians be extra tolerant of different faiths. additionally, it is style of like Harvest competition in opposite, and that's a wonderfully mainstream element of church existence.

You post a very good question.

In terms of personality nothing would change. I believe that is true for most people. But humans are born as creatures with constant need. Not just physical and emotional or intellectual. There is a description of man that needs to address that part of me that is lacking something.

As an atheist that is one thing I would spend my time trying to figure out what it was. Perhaps there is something about man that I missed. And I need to find out, just to fulfill my peace of mind.

If you're really asking if I sin as a Christian- the answer is yes. I have to make a choice to live out my faith daily - and when I mess up, I am sorry and God forgives me.
By the way - are you saying athiests have the market on those activities just because they don't believe they are wrong? Sounds like you're sort of insulting athiests.

a christain is more than something in name only. it is a complete tranformation of the core of ones views, ones character and one's spirit.

to undo that would leave the person as they were, but yet developed as they would have been changing had Christ not changed them long ago.

this is an interesting question and I will give this additional though.

email me if you will

edit: read rick's girls answer and read it carefully. she paints picture that is accurate and should not be that way at all. the church at corinth was like that and Paul told them to change their ways for they were bought at a price.

her description is way too accurate to be dismissed as rambling and it is as true today as it was way back when....

good call I would add!

Since this is one Christian who has never accused atheists of not having a moral code, I presume I'd be doing pretty much what I always do during the course of a day.

Although eating Christian babies and selling my soul to the devil might be a fun change from the daily grind, now that I stop to think about it.

(And I actually typed that with a straight face.)

I would become depressed about how little meaning there was in my life. Then I would try to pretend I wasn't obsessing over the fact that whatever I did with my life in the end the worms would eat me. I would probably spend most of the day in tears.

Being a Christian doesn't stop me from doing anything that I want to do. I would be no different as an Atheist. I would just miss God.
