MY UNCLE IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, HE HAS A SSN AND HE LIVES IN COLOMBIA, BUT HE LIVED WITH ME THIS YEAR FOR 8 MONTHS AND WENT BACK HOME.

CAN I CLAIM HIM AS A DEPENDENTE? HE DIDNT WORK THE WHOLE YEAR AND I SUPPORTED HIM

A brother or sister of your father or mother is on the list of relatives who don't have to live with you for you to claim them. The spouse of one of these people is NOT on the list, so the uncle would have to be by blood, not marriage.

If you provided over half of his support for the year, and his gross income for the year was under $3400, then you can most likely claim him.

No you can't. He would have to have lived with you for the entire year to claim him as a dependent. Since it was only for 8 months, you cannot claim him.
