Are you parents out there being cautious about what you buy? Are you finding it hard to find toys made in America?
Or are you just buying the same ol' lead filled crap from Wal-Mart?

WHY must toys be made in America to be of good quality ?
To be honest american manufacturing codes are NOT as strict as some european codes are. Admittidly with a poor weak dollar at the moment the European stuff costs a bit more . . .

Just make sure you buy toys that meet accredited safety standards and you'll be fine, relatively little coming out of China is "low quality" and "lead filled" today, they actually produce a lot of decent quality stuff.

Why should China profit from a Christian Festival. They are not a Christian Country and their policy on Human Rights is diabolical. I am in Britain and I only buy European goods and also would buy American. This country is a wash with Christmas cards from China which is a disgrace. How can they sell these cards so cheaply after shipping them from the other side of the world. Its time we all looked at the back of cards and merchandise to see where they are made. Support your own country, it may be a few pence dearer but it puts food in the mouths of your own countrymen

I don't even SHOP at Wal-Mart, too big, too busy, too much junk. I don't live in America. I live in Canada. Harder to find stuff made in Canada. I don't know what I am going to do for stocking stuffers since the dollar store ONLY has stuff from China cheap that break within 5 mins to an hour.

I've always bought good-quality toys rather than the plastic junk from wal-mart, so I'm not doing anything differently this year.

My son is old enough not to eat his toys which is what has to be done to be hurt by lead so I don't really focus on the lead content.
