my cat is like a vaccum and while rarely open the fridge to get something. i dont want him to get sick and die. fill me in.

onions, garlic, tomatoes, chocolate, grapes and raisins are all poisonous to cats.

Kennya, how long do you think a company would stay in business if their food did that. No, it does not. All you have to do is see if it was in a recent recall--just google the words 'iams cat food recall' to find out, and check the dates on the recall. They take care of this stuff very fast or they loose customers. If you're thinking about the melanin problem, that was 2 years ago and caused by ingredients sent from China. That's been taken care of.

Human medictations,chocolate,onions,sweets,junk food.

But cats unlike dogs don't even touch these foods.

Aspirin is deadly poison to a cat. Chocolate is also poisonous, but they aren't usually interested in that.

The most dangerous thing is cooked chicken or turkey with bones in; the actual meat won't harm them, and they love it, but they can choke to death on small bits of bone.
