I agree with Barry. Its a nice very modern growing area. I live 20 miles north in Adairsville, and considered moving there when we bought our house here. My inlaws live there and the dont have any problems that they talk about.

I lived and worked for the city of Acworth. The subdivisions off Hwy 92 and into Cherokee County is a nice area. Hwy 41 is really grown up with Wal-Mart's, Shopping Centers and restaurants. Lots of houses in that area too. Acworth has it own municipal utility but the power companies can range between Cobb EMC and Georgia Power too. Lake Allatoona is really low now. When I was young the lake was full and deep. Can't say that now. It used to be boonies but no it is a metropolitan suburb with not much boonies left. There is North Metro Technical College. Acworth stretches between 3 counties. Bartow, Cobb and Cherokee. This section of Bartow is mostly one large mobile home park with a few houses and Allatoona Elementary. Cobb has many schools within the city and off Mars Hill. The Cherokee section goes from 1-75 up Hwy 92 to Bells Ferry road. One little section of Cherokee County touches I-75 where they thrive off speeding tickets. Acworth is a good a place as any with the downtown having a historic look. I would like to live there but cant afford too now.

Haven't been actually in the city but I google mapped it and seeing it is a bit north of Atlanta. Zooming in on the city it appears to be around Lake Acworth. Describing it self as a small town, it is still close enough to Atlanta for the cultural stuff you might want.
Being a former trucker and traveling thru that area 3 to 4 times a week, traffic is a major consideration.
Looks like a nice area and in the foothills of the mountains and not far from some really beautiful North GA scenery as well as South Eastern Tenn.

Lived there 3 years ago, in subdivision called Boones Ridge, it is off of Hwy 92.
We loved it. It is so close to Town Center. In the subdivision we lived in, there were many families. As far as schools go, I homeschool. I know there is an elementary school within two mile of where I lived, but don't know about the it.
