i have a ps3 60gb and the fan inside is quite noisey almost from when i turn it on. If watching a dvd or playing games you can hear it over the volume if u listen for it.

I have looked over and over for an answer to fix this but came up with nothing.

i want to know how to fix this problem if there is a way thanks!

1). Your PS3 stands in the place, where isn't enough space for a proper air flow (10cm gap required);
2). A small particle of dust is stuck in your vent - you can use a weal vacuum cleaner (same as used for PC cleaning, don't use a household vacuums).
3). Serious tech problem.

In any case - call Sony's technical support.

it is perfecly normal the ps3 has somuch power that heat is produced so the fan cools the ps3 unlike the 360 that overheats.

The absolute best thing you can do is keep it in an open area, with tons of air to breathe in.
