C'mon troops, America loves war, right!? As soon as we figure out what O'Reilly means be "war on Christmas," we'll start one! Oh wait, is it possible that it means we actually avoid catering to the Christian fascists and remember that America includes people from dozens if not a hundred different religious persuasions? Does it mean that we remember that American government does not mix with religion or show preferential treatment to any particular one?
Yeah, maybe that's a war worth fighting since it equates to preserving the union.

Too right, lets get to the facts shall we? The 25th of December was a date decided upon as the 'birth of christ' in order to come half-way with the pagans that Christians were trying to indoctrinate and rule. The pagan God Mithras's birth was always celebrated on the 25th. Mistletoe and Holly are used because they are considered fertility plants by pagans. Jesus himself could not have been born in December according to all historical evidence, and most likely was born in fall. So stop with this "Its a christian holiday! Its ours!" mentality.

I'm sick of this bullsh*t from O'Reilly and his ilk. If anyone is creating a hostile tone around the holidays it's them. A local radio host in south Florida wants to boycott a mall because they won't put up a nativity scene. Talk about extortion!

No it means that everyone is willing to bend over backwards to avoid offending anyone but the Christians. You never hear anyone saying that we must avoid any reference to any of the other celebrations at this time of year.
