Depends on the age of the kids. For kids up to age 10, a simple way to keep them entertained is balloons. Go to your local Walmart or dollar store and get the biggest bag of mixed sizes of balloons you can find. Get a couple of coloured markers as well. After the kids parents leave, get the balloons out and start blowing them up. Encourage the kids to blow them up too. Blow up all sorts of different shapes , sizes and colours. The kids will think it's awesome to have so many balloons to play with. Also, get out the markers and let them write and draw on the baloons. For quick clean up just snip the necks of the balloons with scissors. They will deflate but not pop, so there won't be a big mess.

Red Light green light
its where you or one of the kids stands on the other side of the room (stoplight) and the other kids stand against the wall (Cars) when the "stoplight" Has their back to the "cars" they can run and when the "stoplight" turns around they must stop. Continue this tell one of the "Cars" reaches the "stoplight" and be careful not to get caught moving or else you have to go back to the starting point.

Board games......if you are doing at their house then let them show you around first....litttle kids love that......then play games and try to stay away from the TV..... Make sure you give them lots of attention and maybe ask the parent s if they can have a special treat if they are good......telling the kids about a special treat will make them behave and b emore flexible......for a treat maybe like a piece of chocolate...nothing big though!

Most kids like charades...it is easy and almost any age can do it. If they are older you can bring a board game or play one with them that they have at home.
