Titus 2: 11,12

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, IN THIS PRESENT WORLD.

Of course it disdains sin. God ALWAYS disdains sin. In the Bible, when Jesus was hung on the cross, God turned his eyes away from him because the sins of the world were cast upon him. God can't stand sin. Period. And for the "in the present world" from everything I've read, heaven is perfect, and there is no sin. I'm not a pastor, just a kid devoted to Christ (like Timothy). I personally would ask a pastor about this. PRAISE BE TO GOD! AMEN!

We have a sinful nature because of our humanity. We have been redeemed by Christ through and our sins are forgiven if we are truly repentant.
I'll throw out some bones. Old Testament sin is an act of disobedience; an insult to God; something detested and punished by God and injurious to the sinner.
Christ teaches that sins are a voluntary act and come from the heart.
Philosophical sin is a morally bad act which violates the natural order of reason, not the Divine law. Theological sin is a transgression of the eternal law.
I think you have to be true to yourself and others. For me addictive behaviour was a sinful act because I made alcohol or drugs my God and nothing but harm came from that. But then Grace enters the scene and I had a chance to escape that bondage and be in God's light again.

Being born again spiritually brings the Holy Spirit teaching us all things of Christ. The Holy Spirit purifies and refines. Jesus said, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter would come and speak of Him. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and helps us live soberly, righteously and godly lives. Yes, Christians should scorn sin. Yes, Christians should hate sin.

There should be nothing worse for a Christian than to sin against God.

Yes it does. God is saying not to commit sins and giving a small list of what he considers not good for our souls. He is telling us how to obtain the salvation we need to be blessed and by his side.
