My friend and her boyfriend drive out to serene spots and make out and she was freaking out if the cops caught them. But i didn't know if it was illegal.

It's not illegal. But here's what may happen: Once I was with a boy in a car and the cops asked me to get out of the car. They walked me 10 feet away and asked if I was all right. I said yes I'm fine. They wanted to make sure I was not there against my will. So tell her to be prepared for that.

to make out... you just sit there and kiss.. no nothing bad would happen...
because if you were kissing then you would still be in your seats and you could always lie and say that you were just sitting and talking and needed somewheres that you could be alone and away from everything.
if they were totally naked and not sitting side by side and were banging then yes they would get a ticket.

if not dressed then yes, indecent exposure. I was at a park and we both got tickets. Just know your surroundings.

They can ask you to stop watever it is that you are doing, but unless you are on private property, or in the nude, they can't technically do anything about it.

the police caught my wife and I in the car and he asked her how old she was and for her id.
