How can I get to Canal St. in Chinatown in NYC from Times Square? I'm new to the area?

Take the N train downtown from the Times Square Station to the Canal St station.

Take the N, R, Q or W train to Canal Street. All 4 trains stop at the same Times Square platform.

At Canal St - the R & W stop at the upper level platform The N & Q use a lower level platform (except during overninght hours when the N uses the upper level platform.
