I am not exactly sure of what you are asking, but to me life is more than just the things we have to do (got to school, work, eat, sleep, etc.)
It's enjoying the journey of what we have to do. The interactions we have with our family, friends, teachers, fellow students, coworkers. It's finding your passion and pursuing it. It's appreciating where you are now. It's setting a goal for the future. It's helping others and understanding that no matter how you feel, there are others just like you wondering the same thing.

You need to get a life.
Isn't there anything that interests you beyond TV, eating, etc.?
Somewhere along the line you must have developed an interest in something worthwhile... Does something make you so mad you just have to do something about it? like stray animals, (volunteer at a shelter), the homeless (work on a soup line), do you have a hobby (collecting toy trains, building models, doing puzzles, operating remote control models)..
I write. When I write, I'm building another world or entering one that I wouldn't normally be able to see. I also have cats (5) all rescues. I use my writing (in articles and letters) to stave off my frustrations with the things I see that need fixing in the world.
It is our world, the only one we'll ever have... find something in it that you can latch on to.. it doesn't have to be earth shaking, just of deep interest and importance to you-- then go out there and do something.
Life is survival, not just our own, but for those around us.

I felt this way until I made my spiritual connection to God the top priority in this pyramid called Life. Start your day with connecting to God, end each day with connecting to God and let spirituality become your source of energy in every respect.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from seeking medical help if you may have biological depression in your family because I work in this area. Have you noticed depression in your father/mother side or siblings?
However, in addition to this, I would encourage anyone to re-prioritize their life if they are not connecting to God because this alone can lead to depression and can lead to seeking unhealthy alternatives. Finding friends in a good church (try several churches if necessary to find the "best fit") for you. I have found that friends made in church are often the best friends you may ever have.
Once I connected to God, I became more creative, I enjoyed waking up each day more than I had and life in general just made more sense.

Join the rat race my friend. It's no different for the rest of us. I find joy in the simple things in life....getting together with friends, working in my art journal, sitting in the back yard listening to the crickets chirp. You get the picture.
