so theres this guy and i guess he really likes me but HE wont ask me out he keeps having our mutual friend scott ask me out and i keep saying no and i told scott to tell him that im not gonna go out with him until HE asks me. and scott told me i was being a ***** and i just needed to give dennis a chance. but im trying! hes just to shy to ask me! am i being unreasonable or do u agree that what im doing is good?

He is shy and that isnt a bad thing but if you like him then go for it

You are doing the right thing...now you might tell Scott to tell him you will tell him yes if he asks you out so he knows you will say yes but imagine the conversation that night out if he cannot even ask you out????? Now that is scary!!!!!

You are doing the right thing. If he wants to go out with you then he should ask you himself. If he is too shy to even ask you out then what is he going to be like if he does go out with you? If he really likes you he will ask you out and he should.

I think you both should just stop trying to communicate through a messenger and you should step up and talk to this dennis guy yourself and say "Why can't you step up to me yourself? I'm doing it right now because thats how much I want you, but if you don't want me then its okay..."
then again if you don't like him just avoid him completely...

I think you just have to be yourself and be visible to him and display your normal charm and character. You can do the same and ask friends about him and see if you would be compatible. You are abetter to do the homework and learn about each other first. When you know more about him and you think you might be compatible, talk to him. Break the ice, and maybe see if he wants to grab a bite. Get to know each other before you think about getting more serious.

I don't think that is unreasonable. If he wants to go out with you, he knows now that he needs to ask for himself. But, if you really like him, you might have to take the first step.

Walk up to the guy you like and ask HIM for a date!
Something simple, like having coffee...around other people, he just may not be as shy!
Maybe simply walking thru the mall, looking in windows, sharing what you both like and don't...that's good for an icebreaker!

honestly, there is no right answer. some guys are just really shy! however, try talking to him, if at all possible- it's a lot easier to go out with someone if you actually know them at all!
