it's a toss-up between Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.
God is big enough and does so much, that He's allowed more than one cockup.

God does not make mistakes. All his creation was perfect. When Satan, Adam and Eve rebelled against God, that started all the pain and suffering we see today, all the cockups, if you will. Satan is the god of this system of things, the ruler of this world. But please note that soon by means of his kingdom with his son Jesus ruling as king, the bad will be removed and the earth will be transformed into a paradise, sin will be removed so man can be returned to the perfect way he was created so that finally God's original purpose for man and the earth will be realized.

I think Jesus Christ did fine until his Ascension. He had completed all the hard stuff. He should have stayed on earth for a few more years and then conducted a really big Ascension.
His religion would have had a lot more credibility. He would have many more believers. He could have supervised the writing of the Bible and given it his endorsement. His church would clearly have his own signature. There would probably be one world relgion, no Islam, no denominations, no great religious wars, etc... What a missed opportunity.

Allowing Christians such intolerance, egotism and hatred of science, gays and anyone who believes differently from them!!!!
Thank goodness for the atheists and other far more tolerant and humanitarian religions!!!!
