I've never died, but I have a friend who died two times. The first time was before he accepted Christ. He was in what he describes as a horrible place of hurting and fear. He had been in a car wreck. His wife gathered together all the believers she could find and went to the hospital and prayed. God returned him to her.
The second time - after he was a believer - he was assassinated by local drug dealers because he was leading too many of their workers and buyers to the Lord. Again, his wife gathered pastors and other believers and again God returned him to her. When he awoke (and she confirmed it) he was angry at them - he had been in the most comfortable, peace-filled place he could imagine. He fervently lives his life for Christ now - even more than before he was shot - because he REALLY believes where he's going is worth it.

Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope, and Nope. I actually died and was shocked back to life in the hospital (lucky I was there when I died!). There was nothing, no lights, no tunnel to heaven...it was black, peaceful, and all sounds were very removed (I could hear them, but it was like listening to them from very far away). I don't really believe people who say that they saw heaven or dead relatives. I have those who would be waiting for me if I died and there was no one there. The one thing I will attest to is that you 'just understand' things and are fully calm and serene. Like being as comfortable as you can possibly be.

My grandmother saw heaven before she died. She talked about the beautiful garden then she called out to people waving. All were "dead".
Maybe Ash wasn't dead long enough...just a thought.

Yes, I was near death once. They shocked me back and I was in and out of it for a few days. But I was in the tunnel and walking toward the very white light at the end of the tunnel. Off in the distance in the tunnel I saw a man, I thought of him as a holy man dressed in a white robe. He took my hand and we walked toward the light in the tunnel for a while, he told me that I had to go back that it wasn't my time yet. He told me that my then very sick Grandson needed me and that he would be alright. I didn't want to turn back. I was happy with the holy man. I never thought he was Jesus. The next thing I knew I opened my eyes and they had cut off my brand new sweater ( I was upset about that) and were shocking me. I said "Hi" to my Dr. who was reading my print outs. I had had a heart attack. I was alright with coming back but for about a month I told everyone about my experience.
