generally cookies contain butter, which is a dairy product, but you can USUALLY substitute that for oil, or some other binding ingredient, such as eggs and water

I've baked a lot of cookies and most of the recipes that I used do not require milk. When they did, it was more for the purposes if the icing than the cookie recipe itself.

There is no need of milk in baking the cookies.But if we put some milk in the batter of the cookies is helps it to become more tastey and the cookies doen't become hard.I hope you will have a good time while making your delicious cookies...

Not necessarily. There are thousands of cookie recipes, and they don't all use milk. Even for the ones that do, you can always substitute soya milk.
