When did the term "sleep with someone" start to mean sex and how did it originiate?

My knowledge is based on belief. If you believe you the scientific version that man evolved from apes. Therefore your grandpas and grandmas all slept in a big bunch like bananas. As far as the sex, well even animals don't have sex like the humans. Humans have made a profitable mockery out of sex and don't respect the idea of reproduction even as their ancestors the animal ape does.
They decided one day to better have sex together, and have it ready available, they called it sleeping together.
How can you sleep and be having sex.
Sleep is a state of rest and empowerment.
Sex? And do you really need it as much as it is sold and advertised.

200 hundred years ago in a small village in England, a lady after a snow storm spent the night with his boy friend. The morning after, the whole village were talking about the incident and the rumor create the famous "sleep with someone".

I don't know where it originated, but i think that it is a pretty stupid concept. If you sleep with someone then you just slept with them. It dosen't exactly mean that you had sex with them.
