Ask yourself...
What are your likes and interests? What do you think you want to get out of your membership in either organizaation? Why either of these, and not, say, St John Ambulance or the Scouts?
See if you can find someone with experience in both organizations...they do exist.
If you can answer these questions for yourself, I believe that you'll have your answer. Good luck to you whichever you go with.

I did Army cadets from 14-16 years old then I join as an Air Force officer in the Canadian military.
Army cadets was structured. What we learned ranged from map & compass navigation, how to build camp, put up tents, start up Coleman stoves. We learned basic leadership skills by being in charge of small sections during exercises.
Exercises were done on the weekend. They were very much fun. We would learn about camouflage, reccee, how to move silently, do observation on position, plan simulated attacks.
I like Army cadets so much I joined the Army. But after a year, I requested a transfer in the Air Force because the lifestyle was a bit more relaxed and the traveling opportunities greater.
I have come across Air cadets and they seem to enjoy their experience. They learned a lot about meteorology, aircraft dynamics, airplanes in general and many of them got to go learn how to fly gliders and tow planes in the summer.
So I guess you have to ask yourself what interests you. You can also browse the canadian website and may find more information on the training programs.

Name all FAMOUS Air Force Generals off the top.
Do the same for Army Generals.
Whichever gets the highest score gets you...right??
I will give you 1 clue to a Famous Air Force General.
He was not famous for his AF career. He was very famous before joining the Army Air Corps. He was not famous for his early 50's Radio show "The 6 Shooter". Alfred Hitchcock is the last clue.
Who is it?????
SSG US Army 73-86
The US Army gets the Glory and the Girls.

Your quality of life will be a little better as an officer in the air force. On the other hand, if you're looking for more excitement and don't mind getting a little dirty, the Army is for you. It also depends on what field you're planing on working in. If your working as an infantry officer, your experiences will differ from say, a personnel officer.

That a personal decision only you can make. What do you like? It doesn't matter what I like.
