If that's the beginning, then what about the people before or the millions who had never heard of it? (Like the Indians, Chinese, Norse, etc.)?
He promised he was coming back about 2,000 years ago.
I believe it was a metaphor that nature had already provided with plants and seasons.
Edit: Oh, BTW, the return of the sun/spring is 'the reason for the season' and Astart or Epstere, ?, a pagan holiday, was already being celebrated in the UK area, when Xianity tried to take over, it became Easter (which is why bunnies and baby animals are so much a part of the celebration)
In Egyptian mythology, Osiris was killed by his brother Set, he came back (the difference being that his sister-wife Isis was responsible for resurrection). then Set tried to kil him again, but Isis told Set Osiris decided to become God of the underworld.
I'm sure there are Greek religion tales that have to do with death and resurrection.

If Jesus had been the first person to be associated with rebirth and renewal (which typifies Spring anyway), Christianity might have got away with it but for thousands of years people have looked for a mortal being to thank for the return of the Sun at the Spring Equinox. The priests will always find a way of fooling the gullible into supporting them. It beats working!

I don't see too many answers to this question! Does that mean they don't believe or just don't care to answer your question? If you believe, that's fine! For the rest, that's fine too! If you never heard of a bible or never had anyone discuss religion or faith with you, would you still believe? External influences and control to propagate a "one-ness" are the root of all religions. Somebody said something so it got written down somehow and now it's true! Who knows, I haven't seen anyone come back yet and I suspect that he won't either!

Have you ever read the bible with a little understanding..I think not.
The bible states quite clearly that 100lbs of aloe was taken into the tumb.
You don`t waste that healing herb on dead bodies.
Its medical properties.
Used on sunburn and open wounds.
So he was not dead.
Eclectic shock, (death syndrome) is common amounst semetic people, Strong physical or mental stress can bring on this condition.
My wife has actually suffered from it and was without apearance of life for two and a half days, which she remenbers nothing of.
The muslim Q-uran even tells you he didn`t actually die on the cross..!!

I absolutely believe in this. Also, when Jesus was in his tomb, he became bored and created the Easter Bunny for entertainment. A little fact that not too many people are aware of.

12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

Easter is the name of the Roman god of fertility. (Hence the rabbits and the eggs)
True Christians have nothing to do with Easter.
