Boron Bear, people exclaim such phrases all the time with no belief or faith in God. Things like Oh God, My God, Thank God, are merely expressions of language to folks. Nice try.

Spirit Wanderer, it is simple as the the answer lays under your nose. God does not fail. Men fail via alcohol, drugs, pornography, etc. These are things WE choose. God did not make us for these things. God created us to be like Him, Holy. But we fall way too short of the Glory. This is why I praise Him for bringing me out of sin through His Son Jesus Christ. Have you heard of Him? Riddle ME that!

Because people feel if God were really in control why does he allow bad things happen to good people. But when sin entered the world so did death because of what Adam and eve did and also what they failed to do. I have heard people say if God is love why do children have cancer, why are people starving, etc etc.
I have a medical condition and I have had it 22 years and I was unable to have children the one thing I wanted the most but God is not just here to answer all our prayer requests and grant us our every wish. We are called to serve God and others and yes life is unfair we are not in heaven yet this world is far from perfect and many people including Christians need to firmly realize this world is not our home heaven is.
As for success all we have is because of Gods hand of provision see John 3:27,30 and also James 1,16,17. There were times I was very angry at God for the things that have happened but come to realize life is not fair this is not heaven this is earth and it was better for me to admit this accept this and CHOOSE to be happy anyway. Thank you for a wonderful post and God bless you e4g

I think it is human nature to blame God, government or others for bad events in our lives. I used to do that myself. As for good events we tend to like taking credit for ourselves. I guess I differed there. I tended to become more spiritual and giving to others. Eventually neither state made much of a difference though. Only recently have I declaired myself a Christian (maybe Presbyterian?) and my life has really been blessed with happiness and good events. Not money, but everything else. And it is everyting else that is important. And as the only really significant person in my life I will profess and declare my belief in my girlfriends church about a month from now. Who I add also allowed me to end being an athiest and resolving Biblical, historical and scientific conflicts.

There are many people who have faith in God and do express their thanks, as informed by their faith, for successes in their lives. This is a personal issue, for each to settle, dependent upon their belief in God, or lack of belief.
If you are asking about public, official recognition, this is something that cannot and should not happen. Governments are in place to administer nations, not churches. Let all credit to God remain within churches and in the hearts of believers, and on open forums, of course; freedom of speech is a dear right, and one that is an exercise of democracy.
There simply cannot be coercion of anyone to believe in God, or to believe in giving credit to God. To insist on such is an abuse of power and a dangerous thing.

From what I have seen in this and the real world, God is blamed for all the sucess, and never the failures. Atheists only make points when they say that,"Why does God let...."
I would wonder more why do Christians praise God for all the good things, but never say God did the bad things, espiecially when THEY did it themselves, like...getting over an addiction or something, they always say, "God got me through that," while they should really be saying, "My friends, family, and myself got over it." But when something bad happens, it's either that persons fault or the Devils, or, of course, natures...
RIddle me that, please...

Did you hear what Tim Tebow said after being the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy?
He gave credit to Jesus Christ right there on national TV.

Well, I'll have you know that I only blame God because it is fun and takes the blame off of myself. If I credit God for the good in my life, by contrast, I don't get the benefits of feeling like it was my own effort that resulted in such success. So, blame makes me happy, credit makes me unhappy.
God bless the human ego.

You cannot blame anyone for the negative circumstances in your life, and you need to credit yourself for your accomplishments. You are given choices and when you make the best of them it is ok to be proud. When we make mistakes, we have to know that it is our fault and learn to correct them. If God was responsible for every action in our lives, then there would be no point in living them.

I guess that depends on who you talk to. I see God as all good. I give him credit each and everyday, several times a day.
If you have positive people around you with positive lives and experiences you will feel and breed positivity.
The glory of God is in full view for all to see.

CAUSE MAN HIMSELF will never ACCEPT the reality
that ITS HIS FAILURES
its easier to Blame someone else
and God not being seen , by most
pretty reasonable lay it all on him
pretty much like people do on the jobs when one is gone
it was all thier fault
BUT WHEN they SHOW back up
the TRUTH comes out
and thats whats gonna happen soon
HE IS COMING
and the TRUTH WILL BE SEEN BY ALL

I have seen a lot of those "if there was a God question" and as It always make me go Huh?????????
and I realize that this question was for them.
however did you happen to see the Heisman trophy presentation this year?
Tim Tebow, the first Sophomore to win the trophy, was also the first Home schooled to win,
and he was thanking God for all of his success.
