According to the New Testament, Jesus first used the word church to describe his followers in Caesarea Phillipi, probably in the year 32 AD.

Jesus had the apostles and those who believed, and the church was born in 33 AD at Pentecost in Jerusalem.
The Bible says that the church is the body of believers physically.
