I would have a problem proving to your or anyone else's satisfaction the physical existence of either Heaven or Hell. The truth is, these places are transcendent. If they currently exist within the physical realm, we have not found them, and given the size of the cosmos, we are unlikely to. However, since God is Spirit, and after death if your souls continue on, that is also spirit, then it makes sense that, for now, the barrier between our eternal destiny and this world can only be passed through by death or divine revelation. Physical evidence and direct observation can only take you so far. At some point, you have to decide what to believe when the evidence fails you.

Now there's another issue we should discuss about proof. Arguments for the existence of Heaven and Hell are secondary to other more critical arguments, such as whether the universe was caused by a Creator, whether an intelligent Creator designed the universe as it exists, whether the Bible is a reliable document, whether Christ is indeed the Son of God, and whether Christ rose from the dead.

Here is something else to think about ... CS Lewis said it well:

"Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for these desires exists. A baby feels hunger; well, there is such a thing as food. A dolphin wants to swim; well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire; well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which has no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

There's no physical, tangible evidence for anything religious. It's all based on a feeling.
Note that even if the bible mentions something factual (e.g., the temple in jerusalem, or an earthquake), it is not compelling. Other works of fiction such as the Odyssey make occasional references to actual places or people, so this is not proof of anything.
Note that even though we can't see air or thoughts or black holes, we can measure them very accurately with scientific instruments (e.g., "thoughts" with a functional MRI or brain electrodes). There is very compelling evidence for the existence of black holes, including one at the center of our own galaxy.
There has never been any physical proof of an afterlife or ghosts. Even near-death experiences have been debunked. Near-death experiences can be spontaneously triggered in the lab by huge g-forces or electromagnetic stimulation of the brain.

Nope, don't waste your time either if you're an atheist. Let people that believe in that sort of thing keep busy on that. I mean, if they find anything it's pretty much always an attempt at them forging or reaching for answers and can be disproved with usually little scientific or philosophical effort.

Also, to those that use the Bible as proof for such things, you could just as well have a book on the worship of James Brown that says he'll come back from the dead... which probably isn't going to happen... no matter how much I want it to.

Physical evidence of heaven....no
physical evidence of hell... no
Phyical evidence of an afterlife... yes (energy detectors sense Ghosts)
Scientific theories saying there must be an afterlife... yes (Energy theory.. we are energy according to Quantum Physics... energy never ceases)

Don't replace Christianity for duotheistic atheism. Your brain doesn't evolve if it stays the same and just learns a new language to do the same old sins.

Of course not.

We are told only to have "faith"
This is the ephemeral back-bone of all religions.
Be good = go to nice place
Be naughty = go to bad place

It has no more physical substance than a hole in a bag in a vacumn

When I die, I shall simply rot back down into our planet.

Dang ! I still go to Church now & then though, just in case

no, there is not physical evidence. however, the majority of people still believe because they need a goal, or something to hope for. without hope, humanity would kill itself to extinction. instead of truly living, people would just survive and get along like any other animal. i guess if you wanted to get technical and heated about it, there IS physical evidence because of this example.

There are 162 references to HELL in the New Testament alone, over 70 of those spoken by Jesus Himself.

" He that believes (the gospel) and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED; he that believes not SHALL BE DAMNED ". - Jesus

"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)

Jesus called it a literal place of REAL torment.

" For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord". - (Romans 6:23)

This question can not be answered as science laws, these are to be self studied only by studying the people who got something about it,e.g. great saints.B'cas our science could not make conclusions about it,it is out of scope of science.

There is really nothing more than guesswork to lead us to believe that there is life after death, in any form.
