Sure, especially if she is very special.

Happens all the time, in a variety of different ways, for both sexes.

The dormmate I had a big crush on in 1976-7 and who briefly wound up in my bed the summer of 2000 showed up in 2004 saying how much in love with me she'd been. That was memorable. Dormmates I didn't much like in school became girlfriends after they and I separately moved to Manhattan. Another dormmate I had a crush on got together with me for a weekend when I visited town a couple of years later.

And that's even before we get to the times I reconnected with old girlfriends ...

By the way: If you're getting the message that sex can be a big part of such reconnections -- you're right. ;)

Yes! we broke up, then years and people later, got back on a visit basis, to have dinner, sex, then go back to the single style life, until the next visit. The magic of it all stays, with the bickering and dissing gone.
