I'M FEEL SORRY FOR YOU LADY! YOU STILL DON'T GET CHRIST'S MESSAGE OF LOVE?
IT IS NOT FOR YOU TO JUDGE A PERSON ON THEIR BELIEFS, OR, DISBELIEF'S. IT IS YOUR DUTY, AS A CHRISTIAN, TO SHOW LOVE, KINDNESS, AND UNDERSTANDING. A POINT THAT I CAN SEE IN YOUR QUESTION, THAT YOU DON'T GET.
WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO BE FORCED! YOU SHOULD GIVE WILLINGLY!
AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED, YOU ARE THE HEATHEN FOR NOT FOLLOWING YOUR CHRISTIAN TEACHING OF 'LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER!'
THAT HEATHEN, AS YOU CALL HIM, IS PART OF GOD'S CREATION!
READ UP ON CHRISTIAN VALUES!
NAME CALLING IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
HE MAY HAVE A BETTER CHANCE IN GETTING INTO HEAVEN THEN YOU DO, AS LONG AS YOU HARBOR YOUR BIAS ATTITUDE!
A GIFT MUST COME FROM THE HEART!
A HEART FILLED WITH LOVE NOT BIAS!
THE GIFT!
IT SHOULD BE A STONE!
ONE THAT REPRESENTS YOUR HEART!
OPEN YOUR HEART LADY!
LIVE A REAL CHRISTIAN LIFE, LESS YE BE THE HEATHEN!

Donna, it surely should be something everyone on the Landover congregation has prayed over and imbued with the all-healing power of Our Saviour. It might even be better if Landover would take up a special collection to provide Christmas gifts for the heathen, each donation would so greatly increase the power and penetration of the Healing Love of Our God.

IMAGINE a Sacred Bu-tt Pl-ug provided by $10,000 in contributions and prayed over for 4 straight Sundays. (Of course, those have to be "straight" - ain't NO abominable gay people getting THESE Blessed Butt Plugs!) All we can say to that idea is, Holy Sheet!

First: You are not forced to give a present.

Second: If the person is your friend enough that you want to give him or her a present anyway, then treat it just like any other friend's gift. Buy (or make) something you know will be appreciated. Do NOT give them a Bible or a DVD of "the 10 Commandments" (although it's actually a very good movie; I have a copy). Clothing or something for the home (candles and candle holders are good because there's no such thing as too many), or something you know they need. Always a good idea to buy something which is OK if they get more than one.

"Ok so judging by peoples comments, most of which are hypocritcal, you think it's ok to celebrate the birth of Christ even though you don't believe in him. Wow I thought most atheists had more brains than that. " Actually, they aren't celebrating Jesus' birth. They are simply enjoying the other aspects of the season that make exchanging gifts, being with family, and eating turkey dinners enjoyable. "I also enjoy spending time with my family, however it doesn't need to be because of some religous holiday that I don't believe in." And it isn't for other atheists either. It is the fact that we take advantage of the opportunity to celebrate being with family. It only becomes "about christmas" if you make it about christmas. "You people do realize that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ don't you? These comments make no sense." You are very juevenile. Who isn't aware of the fact that christmas is about christ? The fact of the matter is that you don't have to recognize the religious meaning to be involved in the holiday atmosphere. Your sense of atheism is very immature. You are driven by ideology, just like a theist. When you grow up, you will learn that atheism isn't about hating religion. It is about not believing in god, and the freedom to do what you want that comes along with that. If you deprive yourself of enjoyable things because religion is involved you are no different than a christian, muslim, or jew who won't participate because it is not their religion.

LOL. I'm a Pagan, and I'm getting an atheist (at least one) a Christmas present. He'll be getting a DVD of some sort. Last year I got him the "Disinformation" DVD series.

If the person is an atheist then they wouldn't believe in christmas right? I mean Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

As an atheist I would prefer nothing - that is what I believe in so the gift would suit my personality to perfection.
