Because it usually IS the woman's fault.

They either blow something WAY out of proportion, or they see things that just aren't there.

The ONLY reason why guys will take the heat even if it's not their fault is because they want the girl to finally shut the eff up already, and because they want to have sex later.

I think it is human nature to fight. It's better though to fight fair. If you go in say you did this or you said that, you are putting someone on the defensive from the start and the only place to go is down from there. It sounds like the bf took advantage of the fact that you were admitting to stuff. It's easier to do that and focus on you then himself. I would not go back and continue the argument. Just let him simmer awhile. If its meant to be, it will blow over. But we as women tend to overanalyze and over talk things, which is not what they want to do. You cannot analyze what he did wrong, tell him, and expect him to "get it". You can only do that to yourself. Otherwise not productive at all. Good luck.

Because like the average testosterone fuelled brain, he has taken your admission of partial responsibility as a full admission of guilt in the situation. This is really just another form of reverse psychology, by putting everything back on you he thinks that you won't pick up on the fact that he is actually at fault. It's usually the person who makes you feel crappy that is the crappy person. He sounds like the kind of tool you don't need. Been there, Done that. Good Luck.

Men and women see things in a totally different way end of story. It takes a really strong couple to stick it out and learn to see how the other thinks

If you know better why do you continue to sit there taking all of the blame, then?
