I would much rather have a homemade cake with either homemade butter cream or cream cheese frosting - I cannot stand the frosting on store bought cakes.

If you know someone that is a good baker then it would be a homemade cake. If they are not a good cook then a bakery cake or even one of the cakes in the freezer section of the grocery store.

Home made, so long as it's from scratch with real ingredients. Cakes made from a boxed mix are awful. So store bought from a decent bakery would be better than a cake made with a mix.

Homemade because there could be things in store bought ccakes and you never know. Plus I love mu mom's homemade cakes.

Cake from the store has preservatives, and I bet if you look at the ingredients, you will find some pretty weird stuff. Homemade is better.

I guess it depends. Ive always had like store bought but last year i got made a chocolate one which was pretty good cos it was still warm =]
think im gonna go homemade from now on.

i would have homemade. because all the store bought ones taste the same with the cake and thick frosting.

Home made is best. I find that the store bought cakes are dry and the frosting is disgusting.

Well... Stop&Shop Grocery store in my area makes a much better cake then I can, so store bought =)

I make and decorate cakes so I would go with the homemade ones anyday.
