I have a dull ache in the area of my left hip joint. I also consistently have some pain in my abdomen near that area but I don't know if that is related to the hip pain. I feel it throughout the day but it seems to get worse at night, especially if I lay on my right side. It helps the pain if I turn to my left side but it is not alleviated completely. If I turn on my back the pain is slightly more intense than if I am on my left side and the abdominal pain is more noticeable. It does not hurt for me to move my hip, in fact it seems to hurt the most when I am sitting or lying down. I have tried the maximum dosage of Ibuprofen which seems to do nothing for the pain. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the pain as a 6 at its greatest intensity. It is what I would imagine an arthritic ache to feel like but I'm not sure of that. Does anyone know what is causing this?
