Christ and giving

2007-12-15 00:00:31 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.

The angel said to them,

"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."

And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:

"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."

(Luke 2:10-14)

With love in Christ.

Dec 25 celebrates the birth of Nynus, son of Semiramis, the widow of Nimrod. He was the first popular false Messiah. His mother perpetuated the religion of Babylon around him. It is ironic that it remains as the most popular day in the world, in spite of the fact that Christ's Father has spelled out which days should be celebrated.

It use to be all about Jesus. But now we have turned it into all about how much money retailers can squeeze out of the general public and not really giving a damn about Jesus. Why have we allowed this to happen people?

Jesus is the real meaning. Just look at the word Christmas. Take out the mass and it is all about Christ.
God Bless!

For me its the analogy of the return of the light and warmth of the sun bringing light and warmth to your heart and to share that with those around you, particularly if they are less fortunate in spirit, wealth, or company. Although I am not Christian I share their view of it as a time to emphasize peace and love between different people although I wish we all did it more through the year and some Christians seem bent on highlighting our differences and judging us for not believing what they do.
